The Bundesliga Foundation’s Executive Board governs our strategic alignment and coordinates it in consultation with the Foundation Council. The Executive Board members are appointed by mutual agreement of the Executive Committee of Bundesliga e.V. and Management Board of Bundesliga-Gruppe GmbH for a three-year term.

The Foundation Council ensures that the work of the Bundesliga Foundation stays on purpose and advises the Bundesliga Foundation’s Executive Board on content-related matters. The members of the Foundation Council also help to promote the work of the Bundesliga Foundation.

The members of our Board of Trustees advise the Executive Board and Foundation Council on fundamental matters affecting the Bundesliga Foundation. We are proud to count well-known personalities from the worlds of sport, politics, culture, business, society and academia among the members of our Board of Trustees. They support us with inspiration and help to raise awareness of our themes, ideas and projects. They also contribute their own networks to support us in our activities.

The Next Gen Youth Advisory Board advises the Bundesliga Foundation and brings the perspective of children and young people into the foundation’s work. The committee is also actively included in communication and in project visits on a selective basis. In terms of participation, young people are also involved in decisions on strategic issues that are relevant to the foundation.
